FANTIC MOTORS RETURNS TO THE UK WITH CLEMENTSMOTO

May 22 2015.

Kent-based importer/distributor ClementsMoto has added the Italian marque Fantic to its eclectic portfolio of motorcycles. The iconic brand of the 60s, 70s and 80s has been re-energised, re-developed and, following a recent change of ownership, is ready to return once again to the UK.

Initial shipments will include a range of 50cc, 125cc and 250cc supermoto and enduro specification models, available in standard trim or full-on competition variants. The machines will be available from ClementsMoto before the end of June 2015, with suggested retail prices starting from £3150.

Commenting on the recent acquisition, ClementsMoto managing director Dean Clements said; “Being born in the very late 60s, pictures of Fantic bikes adorned my bedroom wall as a kid and were the boyhood dreams of many. To have the privilege of reintroducing them to the UK and getting them back on a real commercial footing, is very exciting for us as a company. The brand image is strong, the product equally so and the people behind the company are very compelling and passionate about the Fantic heritage. It is no secret that we have had challenging times with Gas Gas Enduro due to problems in Spain, but I must stress that Fantic is not a replacement for Gas Gas. We genuinely expect the two to sit together and believe they will complement each other in our stable of products. Whilst Gas Gas will concentrate on larger capacity two and four stroke race bikes, Fantic enduro machines will cover a product line and price point ideal for green lane enthusiasts and club racers alike. Fantic supermotos will suit both road and race users and we are already in initial talks to find a national series to run stock machines for private entries and dealer teams.”

Larger capacity road bikes are currently in development and Fantic has plans to produce a line of innovative urban electric powered cycles.

ClementsMoto will offer Fantic to all its existing road and off-road dealers and also invites enquiries from interested dealers in certain areas.
