FIRST DAY HIGH FOR THE DIRT BIKE SHOW

October 31 2014.

The 2014 International Dirt Bike Show delivered on its promise yesterday with thousands of off-road fans taking advantage of half-price Thursday to enjoy everything the event has to offer.

Providing value for money and keeping the crowds entertained has always featured highly on the organiser’s agenda and the opening day certainly didn’t disappoint. Departing show-goers cited astonishing value, the impressive stands, the range of entertainment and greater choice as amongst the reasons they’ll return to the off-road mecca next year.

Right from the very off, visitors of all ages found plenty to see and do, starting with the gravity-defying Wall of Death at the front of the main exhibition hall and then once inside the main foyer they were spoiled for choice with an abundance of stand-holders packing out the retail and display-only halls waiting to show their wares.

All the major players in the industry have pulled out the stops in the main hall to create a vibrant impact with state-of-the-art stands housing the latest and very best machines, kit, parts, accessories and aftermarket goods. The tills were ringing in the bustling hall one, and the day closed with traders restocking their shelves ready for tomorrow’s 9.30am opening.

Fans flocked out to hall four to enjoy the live action antics of the Inch Perfect Motorcycle Trials team, Flat Track demonstrations and Lee Bowers stunt shows. Over in hall five, the have-a-go activities kept the youngsters amused with My First Honda Licence, Strider Bikes, Oset and Mecatecno electric trials bikes, quads and remote control bikes operators creating a stir. In the same hall, the MiniBike riders put their ‘mighty’ machines through their paces and tested out the new tight and twisting indoor supercross circui in preparation for the weekend’s Show MiniBike SX Championship.

For anyone looking for a full-on, low-cost, action-packed day out with family and friends, one place to be over the weekend; The International Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

Doors re-open at 9.30am on Friday the 31st October. Adult admission is £15, youths aged 11 to 16 pay just £7.50 and children aged 10 and under get in free. Parking is free and plentiful too.
