INDUSTRY LINES UP BEHIND ADVENTURE BIKE RIDER FESTIVAL 2019

March 19th, 2019.

The motorcycle industry is setting up camp in the magnificent grounds of the historic Ragley Hall and Estate in Warwickshire between the 12th and 14th of July 2019. The industry main players are pitching up to support the Adventure Bike Rider Festival 2019.

The Festival is a showcase for the industry to engage with the expanding and lucrative adventure bike community. Located in a premium outdoor events venue, the emphasis is on providing experiences and active participation for the customer rather than the traditional ‘rally’ experience of park-up, look and shop.

Sponsored by Bridgestone and supported by official partners REV’IT!, TomTom, Brittany Ferries and Bennetts, the Adventure Bike Rider Festival is also being backed by Ducati, BMW, KTM, Yamaha, Triumph, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield and Benelli, who will all be attending with fleets of test ride motorcycles. Additional industry participation is via trade stands in the on-site adventure village.

The Festival is designed to engage the rider and will feature an on-site five-mile adventure trail cutting through the extensive grounds of the Ragley Estate, a dedicated on-site adventure park, an enduro circuit, guided road ride outs, guided green lane ride outs, plus new bike test rides supported by manufacturers.

The three-day camping Festival will also include entertainment, with live music on the Friday and Saturday evenings, film shows and celebrity talks. There’ll also be a full bar and catering on-site with camping and glamping options.

Alun Davies, the MD of Adventurize Media, which publishes Adventure Bike Rider magazine, said: “Our five-year plan is to host the largest adventure motorcycle festival in Europe and in order to achieve that aim we needed a grade A venue, which was easy to access, plus the support of the industry. Both are now in place”.

“We have received fantastic support from the motorcycle industry, our sponsors and partners. All recognise that a thriving ‘adventure’ sector is vital for the future financial health of the industry and it’s a growing community that deserves to be encouraged, enthused and supported”.

“I’m both delighted and appreciative that the industry has viewed the Adventure Bike Rider Festival a worthwhile purpose in which to invest time, money and resources. Especially so as Yamaha has chosen the Adventure Bike Rider Festival as the event for the public launch of the Ténéré 700, where potential customers can test ride the new bike even before they are available in dealers”

The festival will celebrate adventure motorcycles and riders and encourage attendees to get involved and ride at whatever level they feel comfortable with. As Davies says, “It’s all about having enjoyable riding experiences and feeling part of a community that includes both industry and customer. In short, we’re all, industry and customers, in it together and we’re going to have a great weekend”.

Total Festival numbers will be capped at around 2,000 for 2019 with the emphasis being placed on logistics and the smooth running of the event. With over 1,300 tickets sold within the first month of being on sale the Adventure Bike Rider Festival 2019 will be a sell out and a launch pad for future years.

With that level of public support, the Adventure Bike Rider Festival is already a major event on the motorcycling calendar and a valuable opportunity for the motorcycle industry to interact with and build lasting relationships with customers.

In addition to manufacturers, sponsors and partners a host of clothing and industry related brands have already signed up to run trade stands in the festival’s Adventure Village, but as Davies says, “there is still room for more”.

The festival will include:

• Institute of Advanced Motorists-led road ride-outs
• Test rides of the latest adventure bikes
• Live music and guest speakers
• Upmarket facilities (no expense spared on toilet and shower facilities)
• Trail Riders Fellowship-led green lane ride-outs
• Off-road tuition from manufacturer schools
• On-site adventure park
• On-site five-mile long adventure trail
• Enduro Course
