The new primary drive kit for the Vespa small frame, available now from VE (UK), is a fine example of Malossi’s engineering skills.

This new 27/69 (2.55:1) kit VM676313, is completely rebuildable, giving easy access to the springs so that owners can exchange them.

The included clutch bell is manufactured from a special steel, and has six cut-outs for the clutch plates, ensuring mechanical play is minimised while reducing vibration and wear to both the clutch bell and clutch plate locating tabs. 

Owners who also wish to change their gear ratio can do so with ease as Malossi has also produced 26 (2.65:1)VM677267 and 28 (2.46:1) VM677268 tooth gears available to buy separately, allowing further tuning, and flexibility.
