French retro-bike specialist Mash has unleashed its latest Euro 4 compliant 125 on a waiting world. With other manufacturers slow to the start-line - and some not even in the Pit Lane yet - the Mash UK Importer, HQB Limited, has high hopes for country-wide take up amongst its 35+ and growing existing dealer network.

With classic lines, an enviable spec sheet and competitive pricing, Mash sales director Rob Parker hopes for great things: “Mash has beaten so many other manufacturers to market with this new Retro 125cc bike, we hope to capitalise on dealer worries about derogation of old stock. It also answers anxieties about pre-registration and beating the legislation deadline. But most of all, it’s just a great little bike! The spec sheet reads like a new rider’s dream and the looks are to die for.”

Following a successful launch in Corsica last month, where the cream of the European bike press were suitably impressed with the Black 7 and other new releases from Mash, the first batch of machines are just about to land in the UK. Based on the enviably reliable Suzuki 125cc engine, the bike is expected to retail for just £2299, thereby undercutting the latest Japanese models by almost 50%.

“With a two-year parts and labour warranty, this means new riders can own one with complete peace of mind. The looks alone will mean some experienced riders will also add it to their collection as it will be great for bimbling round the lanes on a sunny Sunday, or even popping to the shops in style,” added Parker.

“We’ve already secured several dozen advanced orders from the trade, and we expect demand to increase as the news percolates out and the Euro 4 deadline approaches. There’s plenty more where these came from, so satisfying dealer orders won’t be a worry.”

Joining the 400cc Roadstar and Dirtstar in the current Mash line-up alongside the Café styled Trackstar and a unique geared 50cc tiddler, the Black 7 is a new high water mark in the brand's UK growth."
