As Oxford becomes busier and as the demands of the business grow stronger, the company can now create new positions to help develop specialist areas.

Nigel Lacey - above left -  joins the buying department as a Workshop Product Category Manager, bringing to the company over 26 years’ experience sourcing outdoor leisure equipment and clothing. The knowledge Lacey has brought with him will allow him to work closely with suppliers to develop new product ranges to add value to the business. Nigel’s experience gained from his buying positions for Millets Outdoor and Champion Outdoor will be invaluable for the development of Oxford’s range of motorcycle workshop accessories.

Nigel said: “The Oxford workshop range is varied and the diversity of products brings new challenges each day, making the role exciting and rewarding.

"I am proud to be part of the passionate Oxford team and look forward to making a contribution to the business through improved working practices and constant appraisal and hence development, of the products.”

Paul Klinker - above right -  joins the team as a Garment Technologist, specialising in Oxford’s apparel which includes the comprehensive ranges of rider wear. Since leaving college, Klinker has worked in the clothing industry. He joins Oxford from Wolsey/Blk Dnm, a New York high fashion brand, where he worked as head of technical clothing, specialising in denim. He comes with a world of experience under his belt including working for Lee Cooper, Ben Sherman and Atlas Design.

Paul said: “As a Garment Technologist, I will use my experience to help improve the overall fit of apparel and make this a standard for all related Oxford products. I will also review current procedures and best practices with a view to making improvements to enhance our offering to customers.

"I want to form good working relationships with all our suppliers and to try and ensure all apparel products are the best they can be, whilst meeting market expectations.”
