With the full support of ABN AMRO Capital, the Group's equity partner, and Barclays Bank, the Frank Thomas Group have acquired the business of "Lintek" the leading motorcycle parts distributor.

Lintek, established in 1975, is a leading distributor of branded replacement motorcycle parts including Bridgestone, Continental and Michelin tyres, Ferodo brake pads, Silkolene oil, EK chain and the leading volume helmet brand FM. The business will be re-located to the head office of the Frank Thomas Group in Northamptonshire.

The Frank Thomas Group incorporates clothing markets leaders, Frank Thomas Limited, the trick accessory company, Motrax Limited and Bike Zone Limited, owners of iconic biker label Lewis, recently selected by world famous designer Paul Smith for the highlight product in his Paul Smith Red Ear collection.

The management team led by Peter Laughton, is being further strengthened by the appointment of Financial Director, Paul Cook and Chairman, David Bernstein formerly Chairman of French Connection and Manchester City Football Club. David is currently on the board of Ted Baker and Wembley National Stadium, and is Chairman at Black's Leisure and Adams Childrenswear, and will bring extensive consumer goods experience to the senior management team.
