PIRELLI UK’S NEW BOSS
January 6 2004. From January 1st 2004 a new face joins the Pirelli- Metzeler team of the MOTO Business Unit of Pirelli Tyres UK.

Carl Bushell joins the company from the Automotive Industry where he was Business Development Director for a leading plastics injection moulding company. Having spent over 11 years at his previous company he was responsible for developing customer relationships and business growth, primarily to the OE sector. Having served a Technical Apprenticeship and qualifying in Mechanical and Production Engineering, Carl moved into the Commercial sector in 1989 and has passed through management levels to Director in that time.

'I feel that obtaining this position with Pirelli is a fantastic opportunity with such a strong company and brand' states Carl, 'This is an evolution in my career that I have wanted to achieve and I feel that my automotive experience, despite some differences, will offer much to this role where I can build upon the great work completed by Tony and the team so far'.

Having been constantly motorcycling for 21 years, Carl has owner many machines and currently rides a Honda VTR- SP1. Leisure time is spent following all forms of Motorsport, including cars and bikes at all levels, together with his wife. 'I suppose I could be described as a petrolhead but I find all forms of motorsport of interest, from grass roots to the purest forms. To combine my commercial career with this exciting product sector is one I am very pleased to have achieved'

Carl replaces Tony Ensor as the Director of the MOTO Business Unit who moves within the Pirelli Group to North America to take on new challenges. We wish Tony all the very best in his new role.
