DATATOOL MOVE ON UP FOR 2004
January 26 2004. Datatool, well established as one of the UK's leading manufacturer of motorcycle security, is planning for significant expansion for 2004. While the rest of us were still recovering from the New Year celebrations, Datatool had already moved into purpose-built offices within its parent company's 3½-acre site in Mitcham, Surrey, where it will benefit from increased space and a 33,000 square foot distribution centre.

"We're extremely excited about the move," states Steve Callahan, General Manager at Datatool. "Almost all of our existing staff are moving with us, which is great news because they're experienced and our customers are familiar with them. We'll also benefit from the facilities and infrastructure at the TG site in Mitcham, so this is a fantastic springboard for Datatool Direct."
What is Datatool Direct?

With immediate effect Datatool will be supplying all Datatool dealers directly, via a nation-wide team of Area Sales Managers. These key people will be technical sales staff, capable of offering dealers support rather than simply selling them boxes, which Datatool believe is unique in the motorcycle market. Another obvious benefit is that, by cutting out the middleman, Datatool can ensure that retail prices remain attractive and dealer margins profitable. There will be 5 ASM's on the road in January and Datatool are actively seeking two more to bring the total to seven.

With its range expanded from alarms and immobilisers to incorporate locks, ground anchors, tagging kits and chargers, Datatool are confidently predicting a 50% increase in turnover for 2004.
