The MCI has reported the success of this year's Ride to Work Day. Participants included politician Lembit Opik and runner Iwan Thomas, who joined celebrations at the Ace Café.

Bikesafe officials were on hand offering safety and training advice, and manufacturers including Harley-Davidson, Yamaha and Honda brought along a selection of display bikes.

The MCI was pleased with increased media coverage of the event.

Samantha Tyson Evans, MCI Press Officer said: "Next year we hope to see even more people participating and helping us get the message across that motorcycling is for people from all walks of life."
