Sidi has introduced a new motorcycle boot for 2005. The manufacturer hopes the new Vertigo design will become as popular and respected as its existing Vertebra system.

Two versions are available: the Sidi Vertigo and Vertigo Corsa, and both feature the Techno VR system.

Sidi Vertigo

The Techno VR closure system allows 5cm of adjustment at the calf, so that riders can attain the optimum fit. There is an air vent on the side of the boot and it has a Teflon-treated inner liner that prevents water or sweat from being absorbed. Additional features include a non-slip sole, nylon shin guards and replaceable toe sliders.

Sidi Vertigo Corsa

The Corsa is the full race version. It has been tested all season by riders such as Loris Capirossi, Colin Edwards and Alex Barros.

As well as the standard Vertigo features, the Corsa incorporates a braced instep closure system for increased rider control; carbon-fibre, removable shin guards; and ceramic toe sliders.

All Sidi Vertigo customers will receive a CD-ROM, providing a short film that shows how the fastening system works.

Another Sidi update for 2005 is the Joel Robert boot, which is retro-motocross styled, for general-purpose wear.

Prices for the 2005 will be confirmed soon.
