The final batch of British-made Cromwell helmets has been shipped to the brand's official distributor, Hitchcock's Motorcycles.

UK production of Cromwell motorcycle helmets ceased in July 2004, following the parent company's decision to concentrate on the manufacture of specialist headwear for the military, air-crew and fire-fighting markets.

The last batch consists of about 600 helmets, including the Classic and Spectra models. All are open-face in style, featuring fibreglass shells; finished in black, white, silver, anthracite and tri-colour.

Licensed production of Cromwell helmets has been transferred to a specialist factory in Italy. The new-look range was unveiled at INTERMOT and is expected to go on sale early next year.
