Moto1 took place over October 30th and 31st 2004 at Donington Park. The overall winner of the event was David Knight, who proved the versatility of his riding skills.

Having taken the lead on Saturday, Knight took third place in Sunday's trial and runner-up finishes in both the motocross and supermoto events to take the title, claiming the £6,000 first prize.

Knight finished 25 points ahead of second-place rider Ady Smith, followed by Wayne Braybrook in third.

Knight said: "I can't believe I've managed to take the win. I knew I'd have a good chance only because I've a lot of experience on trials and I knew some of the others wouldn't have any experience. I was pleased to score in all eight events, especially the road racing, and the first ever Moto1 makes me feel very proud. This event will grow and grow."

Both supermoto races were won by Leighton Haigh, who took fifth place overall. Tom Sykes dominated the road racing, claiming sixth overall.

Final standings:
1. David Knight 121
2. Ady Smith 96
3. Wayne Braybrook 77
4. David Campbell 75
5. Leighton Haigh 70
6. Tom Sykes 63
