The Motorcycle Industry Association (MCI) has announced new dates for next year's International Motorcycle & Scooter Show at the NEC. In 2005, the Show will be held from October 27th to November 6th.

This change prevents a clash with the timing of the EICMA Milan show, to be held from November 15th to 20th 2005. There is some dissatisfaction in the industry with EICMA's organiser, ANCMA, for its refusal to reschedule the Milan show.

Finlay McAllan, MCI Exhibitions Director, said: "The MCI is pleased that it has been able to respond successfully to this awkward situation. We were obviously unhappy about the situation, which we consider an act of bad faith, and took direct steps to rectify it by altering the UK dates.
We are confident that this transition to a slightly earlier date than usual will be a benefit to the industry as it means that they will still be able to exhibit at both shows. It also demonstrates that we have a commitment to our members to produce the best show we can in terms of quality and value. It should be remembered that the International Motorcycle & Scooter Show already attracts the largest attendance at a motorcycle-only event in Europe."
