POLE POSITION: Over 50 exhibitors took part in last night's Mini-Moto Championship. The eventful night got underway with a half-hour warm up followed by a competitive one-hour endurance race. The evening raised a fantastic £750 for BEN, the MCI's official charity organisation. With some fantastic racers on display (and following a steward enquiry) Vivaldi were crowned overall winners, with 2nd place going to Silver Machine and 3rd place going to Kawasaki. The top three teams all received a trophy and a bottle of bubbly but well done to everyone that turned out.

BOOKWORM: MotoGP race star 'Shakey' Byrne was in the MCN Race Paddock today to officially launch Julian Rider's new MotoGP book. Available at the show from the Haynes & Duke stand (R7) and from all good book stores priced £19.99.

FOGGY: Carl Fogarty is scheduled to make a star appearance at tomorrows show. Starting on the Footman James stand (T02 hall 6) he will then make his way to the Micron stand (T54 hall 18) around midday.

THE BIG APPLE: In a strange marketing ploy to attract visitors to his stand you may see Alistair McFarlane (MCI Tours) wondering the NEC with a basket of apples! Although one good reason to visit his stand (L10 Hall 6) is to enter his competition for the chance to win a trip to the Harz Mountains.

FIGURES - "Today the show attracted 13,205 visitors. It's been another good day and we're looking forward to what the weekend brings" commented MCIE's managing director Finlay McAllan.
