WATSONIAN-SQUIRE INCREASES UK SIDECAR SALES

December 6th 2004. Watsonian-Squire reports that it has increased domestic sales of sidecars. Despite a downturn in exports, the company continues to run at capacity - producing an average of three sidecars every week. 60 per cent of these are now sold to UK customers.

The RAC released a report in 2003 which shows that the number of sidecars on the road in the UK increased by 25 per cent since 1993. Watsonian believes that the trend is caused by an increase in the number of people looking towards motorcycling as a family pursuit.

The company offers a wide range of sidecars, from lightweight single-seaters to the Oxford DL, which is capable of carrying up to four children.
