This year marks Red Wing Shoe's 100th anniversary. In 1907, the American company was producing 100 pairs of boots per day. Ten years later, the number had risen to 200,000 pairs per year. During the Sixties and Seventies, Red Wing began exporting boots to other countries and by 1985 production had topped two million pairs. Today, more than three million pairs of shoes are produced annually.
To celebrate 100 years' in the footwear industry, Red Wing has introduced a special, limited-edition Centennial collection, featuring a unique welt design that was found in the first collection in 1905.
