Suzuki has introduced its second locally developed motorcycle in China.
The company began marketing its first such model in November 2004, eyeing annual sales of 20,000 units, but has yet to set a sales target for the new one 125cc machine.
Suzuki aims to expand sales by strengthening its lineup of motorcycles tailored to local preferences.
It developed the new motorcycle through Suzuki Motor R&D China Co., which was established in 2002. The R&D firm made the frame strong and designed it so that packages could be loaded easily.
The vehicle will be produced by Jinan Qingqi Suzuki Motorcycle Co., a joint venture in Jinan, Shandong Province, with a local firm.
