November 13 2006.
Final attendance figures at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show were 144, 870 visitors, down 12% on 2005.
Generally the show appears to have been well received with the majority of exhibitors that Motorcycle Trader spoke to saying they were happy with the show, especially in the current tight retail climate.
The lack of Italian machine exhibitors, caused by the Milan Show taking place this week, may have had a negative effect on attendance figures, but consumer shows generally are well down.
Meanwhile, the battle of the new year shows heats up, with the new Superbike Magazine Ally Pally show claiming strong sales, while the MCN Show, which has moved from Ally Pally to Excel, is said to be offering some special deals to potential exhibitors.....
Interestingly, the word is that Emap has gone legal on Superbike publisher IPC, claiming they can't call the Ally Pally Show at Ally Pally, the Ally Pally Motorcycle Show. Nothing in MCN about that though...
