SKIDMARX HUGGER AND SCREEN FOR NINJA ZX-6R
February 5 2009.

Skidmarx work closely with race teams to develop screens for track use and the new double bubble screen for the road going 2009 ZX-6R is the result of cooperation with Gearlink Racing, the official Supersport Team for Kawasaki Motors UK.

Manufactured by hand in the UK from 3mm acrylic, Skidmarx double bubble screens are designed to replace the original item using the existing mounting points and fasteners. Available in clear, tint or coloured options at £49.95, coloured versions can be ordered too (for a £6 surcharge). Prices for replacement standard screens start at £39.95. Matching headlight covers that offer protection to valuable light units from stone chips and road debris sell for £19.50. Formed from 3mm acrylic too they are held securely in place with Scotch Lock fixing pads.

While working on the front end of the Ninja 600 Skidmarx also produced a rear hugger for the back end. Manufactured in the UK from GRP glass fibre, the ZX-6R hugger weighs approximately 600 grams and bolts directly to existing mounting points. An integral chain guard is included and it retails for £69.95 inc. VAT in black. There is also carbon fibre option, at approximately half the weight of GRP, costing £129.95. For owners looking to lose weight there is a carbon front guard at £99.95.
