KYMCO SUPPORT SCI-FI LONDON
February 23 2009.

Kymco has announced it will be sponsoring the eighth annual London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film, which takes place from Wednesday 29th April to Monday 4th May 2009 at the Apollo Piccadilly Circus and the Movieum of London.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Kymco has donated a Yager 125 commuter Scooter to the festival organisers and a Super 8 50 sports scooter worth £1399, which will be used in a competition to promote the festival on the Sci-Fi London website. It is hoped that the lucky competition winner will be presented with the scooter at the Festival.

Louis Savy, Festival Director said: "I am delighted to have formed a partnership with such a globally respected scooter brand. Kymco's Yager 125 is a fantastic looking scooter and it will really help us to beat the traffic congestion in London when we are travelling to and from the festival venues. We are also very pleased to be able to offer our loyal festival followers the opportunity to win such a valuable competition prize, and the name of the scooter, the Super 8, fits perfectly with this being our eighth festival!"

Ian Kidson, Managing Director for Masco, the sole UK concessionaire for Kymco, added: "We are thrilled to be supporting the UK's only dedicated sci-fi and fantasy film festival. With many more people now turning to two wheels as a preferred means of transport, this popular event provides an excellent opportunity for us to promote our full range of scooters and motorcycles and expose the Kymco brand name to a whole new audience."
