GERALD DAVISON LEAVES FOWLERS MOTORCYCLES
August 4 2009.

Former PLC Chairman and Director of UK Operations for Honda, Gerald Davison has announced that he has left the board of Fowlers of Bristol Ltd., where he has been a non-executive director for the past 14 years.

Citing irreconcilable differences over strategy and issues of corporate governance, his resignation was with immediate effect.

2009 has seen Mr Davison celebrating his 50th year in the motorcycle/automotive industry, having started as a trainee engineer for motorcycles and commercial vehicles in 1959. After a formative spell with Chrysler International SA in the 1960's and a 17 year career with Honda, Mr Davison spent 15 years in 'Mergers and Acquisitions' as Executive Chairman and CEO of a number of quoted and private companies.

In recent years Mr Davison has authored books on Chinese art that are regarded as the standard works on the subject, and become an international lecturer on the arts, history and cultures of Asia. He was elected as a Fellow to the Royal Society for Arts in 2002.
