Carole Nash has strengthened the appeal of its Dealer Scheme with two new consumer incentives to cover the tail end of the summer biking season.

Throughout August the company is offering six months free cover for helmets, leathers and other biking gear. The free policy will pay out up to £750 for replacement helmets, leathers, boots and gloves should a biker damage them beyond economical repair whilst riding. Carole Nash, which is the UK's biggest motorcycle insurance specialist, is expecting high take up of the offer as its standalone Helmet and Leather policy has proven a big hit with bikers since its launch last summer. It also points out that riders could pay as much as £30 if they bought equivalent cover through a rival insurance firm.

In September an exclusive dealer channel promotion will see the company giving bikers the chance to win back the cost of their motorcycle insurance. Every biker taking out a Carole Nash policy following referral by a dealer will be entered into a free prize draw to win 12 months cover up to a value of £250.

The moves follow a revamp of the Carole Nash Dealer Scheme last year which saw the company increasing the introduction fee it pays to dealers increasing to a market-leading £55. That fee is payable whenever a referral is successfully converted to a new policy sale.

"Dealers are a vital element of our distribution and as such we recognise the need to provide not just constant and generous financial rewards, but short-term tactical promotions which help boost the market," commented Rebecca Donohue, head of marketing at Carole Nash. "We're keen to pro-actively support dealers, not least when they are under intense commercial pressures created by a depressed economy."
