YAMAHA CEO STEPS DOWN

Yamaha President and Chief Executive Officer Takashi Kajikawa is stepping down following the announcment that the company is expected to fall into the red with a net loss of 182 billion yen for the year ending December 31 2009. Kajikawa will be replaced by current Chairman Tsuneji Togami.

Yamaha blames the drop in demand for motorcycles in the home market, North America and Europe.
