SUZUKI PROFITS DOWN BUT IMPROVEMENTS AHEAD
November 2 2009.

Suzuki has posted a net profit of 12.51 billion yen in the six months ended September 30, down from 34.23 billion yen profit a year earlier, but has raised its forecast for the year ending March 2010. The company now expects a net profit of 15 billion yen for the year, up from its earlier projection of 5 billion yen.

Speculation of a link with Volkswagon was also brushed aside by Suzuki Chairman and Chief Executive Osamu Suzuki.
