NEW OWNERS FOR MOTORCYCLE RACER MAGAZINE

The world's number one road race magazine, Motorcycle Racer, has new owners with Fourth Street Media Ltd having purchased the title from current owners, Mortons Media Group Ltd.

Based in Cheshire, Fourth Street Media Ltd comprises current Editor, Larry Carter, who has been appointed Editorial Director, Managing Director David Addison, Publishing Director Lewis Pek and Commercial Director John Slattery who between them have considerable experience in their respective fields.

Established in 1998, the magazine covers all major championships including MotoGP, World Superbikes, British Superbikes and American Superbikes as well as many of the support series throughout the world and is firmly established as the global market leader.

Motorcycle Racer uses the very best professional journalists and photographers, who provide exclusive interviews and features, breathtaking imagery as well as innovative design. These will continue to be the hallmarks of Motorcycle Racer whilst a number of new features are set to give the title even more impact.

Larry Carter, the well known voice of pit lane as 'Scoop' in British Superbikes, and who runs his own motorsport PR company, has been at the helm of 'Racer' since June 2005 and will remain as Editor.

David Addison is one of the leading motor sport broadcasters both domestically and internationally. His company, Cloverleaf Media, has published the majority of British Superbike Championship programmes in recent years.

Lewis Pek and John Slattery join from HP Publishing and bring a wealth of knowledge in both online and printed publishing as well as commercial expertise with additional backing and support for the project from World Superbike Championship team owner, Paul Bird.

"This is a very exciting opportunity for us to improve what is already the best racing magazine in the business," said Larry Carter. "We plan on keeping all of the old favourites, whilst giving some of them a bit of a much-needed facelift and we'll be bringing in a number of fresh ideas over the next few months to improve the magazine even further."
