Micron has announced two new distribution agreements - in South Africa and North America - to continue the expansion of its distribution network and further raise its global profile.
The exhaust manufacturer based in Tibshelf, Derbyshire has signed agreements with KMSA Distributors PTY Ltd from Sandton, South Africa and with Tucker Rocky, based in Fort Worth, Texas.
KMSA has held the Kawasaki franchise in South Africa for more than 30 years and is also the exclusive distributor of Triumph motorcycles. In addition to motorcycles, the company imports other major motorcycling brands such as Arai helmets, SBS brake pads, Ventura luggage and Lookwell clothing.
Tucker Rocky, meanwhile, is North America's second largest motorcycle parts distributors, representing some of the world's most recognisable brands. The agreement with Micron was ratified at Tucker Rocky's recent sales conference where Micron's managing director, Mick Slater, and sales & marketing director, Ross Clifford, showed the company's 2007 product line-up to more than 130 Tucker Rocky sales representatives.
The new range includes black and polished versions of Micron's highly successful MotoGP silencers, as well as new products for adventure sports machines from Ducati and KTM. Micron will also be producing silencers for Ducati's Monster series for the first time in 2007.
"We're absolutely delighted to have secured these two agreements with KMSA and Tucker Rocky," commented Ross Clifford. "South Africa is an important market for Micron and to have such significant representation in North America will be a massive boost. We're already gearing up to increase our manufacturing capacity."
