75TH BEN BALL RAISES £200,000
January 8 2010.

The 75th BEN Ball, held at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on 16 December 2009, has exceeded last year's total and raised £200,000 for BEN.

The non-stop entertainment included Rolf Harris and the Band of the Irish Guards and all were hugely enjoyed by a large audience. Other highlights of the evening included the sumptuous four course meal and an amazing array of prizes to besnapped up. BEN supporters donated some incredible lots to be bid for in the silent and main auctions, including a Fiat 500bydiesel, a special edition Kevin Schwantz Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorbike and a Jaguar XJ. The 75th BEN Ball has been lauded as the 'best BEN Ball yet'.

Charles Davis, BEN's Director of Fundraising and Communications said: "The success of the 75th BEN Ball is entirely down to the support given by the industry to BEN. In such a difficult financial climate, we are deeply moved by the hard work and dedication of everybody involved, from those who attended, to our sponsors and to BEN's team behind the scenes who made everything go so smoothly.

"The money raised at the Ball will be used to reach out to our less fortunate colleagues and it is thanks to all our supporters that we are able to do so."
