LANDWOOD HANDLE CLARKES OF ACRINGTON DISPOSAL
January 28 2010.

Manchester-based Landwood Group has been appointed to handle the sale of bikes and other stock from long-established North West Suzuki dealer Clarkes of Accrington, which closed its doors earlier this month.

Asset valuation and recovery specialist Landwood has been appointed by Begbies Traynor in Preston to handle the disposal of the dealership.

Clarkes of Accrington was one of the best known motorcycle dealers in the North West, having been established at its Whalley Road base for more than 50 years.

The inventory includes a variety of new and second hand bikes and mopeds, clothing and accessories, garage equipment, plus the fixtures and fittings.

Landwood director Richard Parkinson says: "Clarkes of Accrington was a very well known name in motorcycle circles and we anticipate the disposal will attract a great deal of interest from industry insiders.

The sale, by tender, closes on Friday February 19, 2009.

Viewings can be arranged by appointment only.
