Stephanie Waddelow, Michelin Power Cup's sole female rider.

The first round of the 2010 Michelin Power Cup will take place this weekend 3-4 April at Snetterton in Norfolk.

Thirty six riders will take their places on the grid to compete in the 600 and 1000cc classes and will be looking to claim some of the cash and many prizes on offer from leading industry sponsors including Alpinestars, Arai, Putoline and Race Products.

The bank holiday meeting will comprise three 15 lap races over the two days and riders can look forward to a friendly club atmosphere and Michelin hospitality, in addition to a good amount of track time.

Of the 36 riders challenging for the podium, Stephanie Waddelow will be representing the ladies as the only woman willing to battle it out with the boys for the spoils. Nineteen year old Stephanie, whose nickname is Flossy, has been racing since 2003 and already has the 2008 Superteen championship under her belt. If one race series wasn't enough, she is also racing in the Michelin-sponsored Triumph Triple Challenge this season.

The media partner for the Power Cup is Bikesport News - the voice of British motorcycle racing - and the results from this weekend's event will be reported in the 20 April issue. In addition, further information on this weekend and the series can be found at:
