Skidmarx, the UK's largest manufacturer of motorcycle screens and bodywork, has significantly expanded its production capacity following the acquisition of Alexander Developments in Norwich.

Skidmarx produces the vast majority of its glass fibre replacement bodywork and huggers at its ISO 9000 accredited factory in Weymouth. However, the company has sub-contracted manufacturing of specific lines to Alexander Developments for many years. An opportunity arose to buy the business, following the retirement of its founder Alex Evans.

"As our range of replacement bodywork for road and race bikes has expanded, so has demand," explains Alan Roberts of Skidmarx. "We're close to capacity in our Weymouth factory and the addition of the team in Norwich will help us to keep our customers satisfied and continue adding new lines."

Production will continue at the Alexander factory in Norwich as before, but sales enquiries should be made to Skidmarx in Weymouth.
