All too often Legal Cover is an optional extra on motorcycle insurance and can cost between £10 and £30. So when bikers are strapped for cash that's usually the first thing to be cut back.

But now there's no need for riders to miss out - free legal cover is up for grabs. Bikesure, the motorbike division of Adrian Flux Insurance, is giving free legal cover away to motorcyclists even if they are not insured with the company.

"The Bikesure offer is genuinely free to the customer," says the company's Robert Balls. "We're picking up the tab. There's no obligation to buy anything. We already give all our customers free legal cover and decided to trial this scheme where we're offering free legal cover to everyone."

To sign up for the free legal cover, simply visit the website and follow the instructions. It only takes a few minutes and you've got a year's worth of legal cover for nothing, no matter who insures your vehicle.

So what's in it for Bikesure? All the company asks is to offer a quote for your bike's insurance when it comes up for renewal. And even if you don't accept the quote, you can still keep your legal cover for the full year. But Robert Balls reckons plenty of bikers will switch to Bikesure because its policies can shave £££s off those offered by competitors leaving customers free to spend on their first love - their bike.

Bikesure has a huge range of specialist policies for the motorcycle enthusiast, including schemes for performance and custom bikes, scooters, trikes, quads and bug riders. For details freephone the Bikesure quote line on 0800 089 2000, email the company at or visit
