Michelin is sponsoring the Dawn to Dusk enduro that takes place near Glynneath in South Wales over the August bank holiday weekend, 25/26 August.

The event attracts hundreds of entries from all levels of riders from professional racers to off-road virgins. All attracted by the easy going nature of the event and the added attraction of being able to camp on-site and get involved in the party atmosphere.

There is a youth race which takes place on Saturday and the 12 hour main race on Sunday. The event is open to individual entrants and teams of three riders, who can use one bike between them or one each. There is no restriction on machine type or size so there could be anything from two-stroke motocrossers to big road-legal trailies out on the 18 mile Walters Arena circuit.

Entry for the events cost £30 per rider for the two hour youth race and £90 per rider for the 12 hour adult race.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Barry Urand, Michelin's UK sales manager said: 'We want to get involved with this type of event to highlight our range of road-legal off-road tyres such as the Michelin AC10. We also want to show that no matter how good you are there is an opportunity to get out there on a trail bike and have a great time without having to invest in something as single-minded as a motocrosser.'

These thoughts were echoed by the event organiser Nick Plumb, who added: 'We want people to know that this not just a race but more of an off-road festival with a race at the same time. As well as the camping there will be an entertainment marquee, exhibitors and a good choice of catering facilities.'
