Skidmarx has developed a race pedigree double bubble screen and a range of lightweight carbon fibre bodywork options for the Ducati 1098.

The Dorset-based manufacturer has supplied Team Airwaves Ducati for many years and the 1098 screen is based on the racing double bubbles and manufactured from 3mm acrylic in a choice of clear and tinted colours. Priced at £49.95 the screen is pre-drilled and will fit directly into the original mountings. Matching headlight covers cost £19.50.

Fitting a carbon fibre front mudguard and belly pan will not only reduce overall weight but will also create a distinctive appearance for the big V-twin without dramatically altering its lines. The mudguard is a direct replacement for the original equipment and sells for £105.75. The belly pan is supplied in two halves that bolt neatly onto the bike's fairing panels and retails for £295. For the ultimate finish a meshed V-section is available that sits above the radiator at £109.95.

Many owners will want to protect their rear ends from road grime by fitting a hugger and the Skidmarx carbon hugger is as light (at under 200g) as it is stylish. Priced at £129.95 it is supplied with a tailor made fitting kit that attaches to existing mounting points.

Other carbon fibre accessories include heel protectors at £49.50/pair, fairing inner panels at £129.95/pair and a key guard that sits on the front of the fuel tank to protect from scratches at £49.95. Other accessories are also produced for the 1098.
