Knox has given its acclaimed Cold Killers Sport Top a makeover for 2006, with updates to the styling and fabric of this windproof garment.
The British Company used its experience as world leaders in impact protection for motorcyclists to develop Cold Killers - a collection of wind proof clothing to protect bikers from the cold.  Since its launch the range has been widely emulated, but Cold Killers has stayed at the front of the field thanks to a continual process of development and the incorporation of practical features to enhance comfort and riding pleasure.
The most obvious change for 2006 is the sophisticated soft black colour, chosen because many motorcyclists who wear Cold Killers under their leathers also wear it as an outer garment when skiing, hiking, cycling, etc.  However, the fabric itself has been re-developed for the new season.  The front panels, covering the neck, torso and arms, are manufactured from a windproof hydrophilic membrane that blocks the wind but lets the body breathe.  At the back is new Windwear 3D+ fabric, a check-fleece that allows better air circulation and is thus more breathable, which means the wearer stays warm and comfortable for longer.
The Sport Top has been designed with consideration for comfort under motorcycle clothing.  It has a snug tailored fit, so that it isn't bulky, and the zipper runs down the side of the garment, from the neck to waist, to avoid the central zipper fitted to most motorcycle jackets.  There are thumb loops so that the sleeves don't ruck up.
The Cold Killers Sport Top retails for £44.99 in sizes S - XXL and matching Sport Pants are available in the same colour and fabric at £34.99.
