Professional user Quad and ATV manufacturer, Arctic Cat has moved into the next phase of its UK market entry plans - with an ambition to recruit a further twenty dealerships around the UK by the end of 2007. Since Arctic Cat's European parent company set up the wholly owned UK subsidiary just over a year ago, the company has recruited a well spread network of over 40 dealers.

Director and General Manager of Arctic Cat UK, Darren Harvey says, "We have always been very clear that we would seek to appoint dealers on the basis of sensibly sized and commercially viable territories. We have been fortunate to have attracted some exceptionally good organisations to work with us - but inevitably, we still have a number of important geographical gaps where we would like to make appointments".

Arctic Cat's range includes a varied 10 model range of off-road and fully homologated road legal machines - including the new Arctic Cat Prowler XT Side-by-Side Utility, the already highly successful 700 Diesel, the 400cc 4x4 workhorse, in both manual and automatic variants - and the flagship petrol-engined model, the 650H1 3in1.

The new Prowler XT is Arctic Cat's first Side-by-Side utility machine and features a generous tiltable cargo area with a capacity of 272 kg. The vehicle also has a towing capacity of 680 kg. The Arctic Cat 700 Diesel uses a fuel-frugal twin-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, driving through CVT transmission.

Arctic Cat's dealer package includes a strong floor stocking finance facility - with GE, extensive point of sale material and a range of accessories and ancillary equipment, which offers a secondary revenue stream. The company has a small but dedicated team of area managers who provide direct sales and technical support to the dealer network. Arctic Cat will be attending a series of major shows and events throughout the UK this summer, including the Royal Highland, the Royal Show, the Royal Welsh and the CLA Game Fair.
