September 24 2012.

For the first time, this year's INTERMOT will include an integrated business arcade, where representatives from the industry and the specialist trade can meet in a professional atmosphere that is tailor-made for doing business. Centrally located between Halls 4 and 5, this area will be the ideal place for INTERMOT exhibitors to target their presentations at international trade representatives and to conduct business-related activities. This environment offers ideal conditions for suppliers who market their products exclusively to trade customers and are not seeking to sell directly to end users.

To complement a company's stand in the exhibition halls, where it attracts the attention of the general public, the business arcade offers a limited number of exclusive "package stands". Stand construction, stand space, a media package and a contingent of vouchers for inviting important customers is included in this offer. Exhibitors in this area that signed up right away are mostly companies from the helmet and clothing segments, such as Forma Boots (clothing/motorcycle boots), Frey Daytona (clothing/motorcycle boots), Held (clothing), Lito Green (electric motorcycles), NZI (helmets), Shark (helmets), Tech Design (helmets) and Trophy (clothing).

A high-quality dealer's lounge will provide a meeting place for traders in the sector. This is where international tradespeople in the industry can work in peace or just relax away from the hubbub of the trade fair. Of course, along with state of the art communications technology, the lounge also provides a pleasant atmosphere and offers a selection of drinks and snacks.

In addition, special business rooms outfitted with conference technology will be available for conferences and presentations. The rooms can accommodate up to 140 participants. Business rooms are available to all exhibitors at INTERMOT Cologne and not just reserved for those participating in the business arcade. As cooperative partners, all of the relevant European specialty magazines are supporting the business arcade in its role as the contact and orientation point for the international trade.

The programme in the dealer's lounge includes thematic presentations from the exhibitors. The suppliers Altrider, CTEK Pioneer, Helite, Sena and Shark will have specific time slots for their presentations. The topics:

3rd October 2012, 3 p.m.:
Helite: Presentation of a new airbag innovation that is faster and safer.

In addition, on the evening of 3rd October 2012 the "Customer Is King" awards will be presented by the trade magazine Motoretta to industry winners chosen by its readers.
