Chain lubrication company Scottoiler has recently launched its new internet platform to accommodate both UK and US customers. The website has two faces, one for US users and one for UK users. The software used to develop the site is at the forefront of online technology and it has been a very exciting process for the company as Scottoiler attempts to increase its US market share.

The new website has been designed to be as user friendly as possible, taking into account all the requirements of the Scottoiler customer. The site includes direct links to Scottoilers' social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Flickr. Here, Scottoiler won't just be placing its products in front of people; instead these platforms will be used for interacting with bikers by providing a motorcyclist's hub of information, travel stories, photographs, videos and discussions.

One of the main features of the UK site is its dealer locator where customers can find their nearest Scottoiler stockist. There is also a trade portal where dealers, wholesalers and distributors can get access to more specific information about Scottoiler and its product range. Looking further afield, if an overseas dealer is interested in stocking Scottoiler products they can find a distribution channel by accessing the global network of distributors.

Common to both the US and UK sites are the product pages, which give direct access to the complete range of Scottoiler products for each market. The products are split into four categories: 'Oiler kits', 'Accessories', 'Spares & Adapters' and 'Lubes, Cleaners and Protectors', so customers can browse or go direct using the quick buttons on the header for the most popular products. There is also a drop down menu from which the customer can select the manufacturer and model of their bike and identify the most compatible Scottoiler products.

The site contains a wealth of technical information and includes a forum which will host a range of discussions involving general queries, product questions and other topics which will be determined by users input over time. For those more interested in the end result of having a Scottoiler fitted as opposed to the fitting itself, there is also a blog which features travel stories from adventure touring company Globebusters.

There is a big focus on customer service and interaction with customers through the social networks and there are regular competitions designed to keep people coming back for more.
