Vemar has introduced a new flip-front helmet with an integral flip-down sun visor that combines form and function at a very attractive price. Named after a Roman god, the Jiano stands out among flip front helmets thanks to its compact design and angular styling. Sun visors are particularly useful not only on bright sunny days but also in winter, when low-lying sun during the morning and evening rush hours can be dazzling.

Its external shell is manufactured from Advanced Thermo Material in 2 outer sizes to give a better balance of comfort and safety across the size range. The chin bar sits close to the face, like a sports helmet and this gives the Jiano a more aggressive appearance than most flip-fronts. Inside is a removable and washable plush lining that is finished to a very high standard. Ventilation is provided via two grilles and a flip-down air scoop on the chin bar and sliding vent on the crown, which are easy to operate - even with gloved hands. Hot air escapes through extractor grilles at the back of the head.

The visor is produced from 2.2 mm anti-scratch, anti-fog treated polycarbonate, with a quick-release mechanism. Behind it is a flip-down sun visor that is operated by a sliding lever on the left hand side, so it may be raised or lowered without the rider taking a hand off the throttle. Vemar has developed its own One Hand Open (OHO) system for opening the front, via a central button on the chin guard. Completing this package of functional features is a quick-release Micro lock chinstrap retention system.

The Vemar Jiano helmet is approved to ECE 22.05 and is available in sizes XX Small to XX Large in the following colour options; gloss black, gloss silver and matt graphite, all priced at £149.99 and including a draw string helmet bag.
