HYOSUNG SLASHES NAKED 125 PRICE
November 8 2007.

Hyosung, which recorded its best ever monthly sales in September, has slashed the price of its naked GT125 street bike by £250. The on-the-road price drops from £2,549 to £2,299 - a reduction of almost 10 per cent.

Matthew Gilder, divisional manager of distributors, E. P. Barrus explained: "We felt that the price of this bike should be realigned, and negotiations with the Hyosung factory have given us a price reduction which we are very pleased to be able to pass on to customers. It makes the bike even more competitive and represents even better value for money."

Hyosung bikes are manufactured by S&T Motors in South Korea. UK sales are already up by 212 per cent this year and the price reduction of the GT125 will mean that Hyosung is increasingly taken seriously.

The GT125 makes an ideal commuter and learner bike and is already proving popular with new riders and those restricted to 33bhp power outputs. It is powered by an eight valve, DOHC V-twin engine producing over 14hp. There's a five speed transmission, a 300mm front disc and 230mm rear brake disc, a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear and 110 and 150 section front and rear tyres. Seat height is 795mm and a 17 litre tank means a long time between fuel stops.

There are 16 models in the Hyosung range from 125cc to 650cc, including cruisers, sports and commuter bikes, supermotard and off-road, scooters and a road-legal quad. Prices range from £1,949 to £4,999.

All have a two year warranty and further information is available at www.hyosung.co.uk

* The GT125 and several new models will be on the Hyosung stand at this year's Bike Show in Hall 1 at the NEC from November 23 to December 2.
