CRESCENT SUZUKI SUPPORTS SPORTLINK CHILDREN'S CHARITY
November 26 2007.

SPORTSLINK, a charity which aims to raise money to take children with life shortening conditions to major sports events, kicked off an on-line auction of sporting memorabilia on Friday 23rd November.

One of the items up for grabs is two VIP passes to MotoGP on 22nd June 2008 at Donington Park with Crescent Suzuki providing the hospitality.

The charity is sponsored by 25 leading sports organisations and commercial concerns which range from the England Cricket Board to DAF Trucks and include six Formula 1 race teams and three leading football clubs. It is also well supported by motorcycle racing and Crescent Suzuki is more than happy to assist with the fund raising.

Auctions will take place every six months with a wide range of sporting items available. Bids can be entered now and the auction closes progressively over the week commencing 1st December which allows plenty of time a unique piece of sporting memorabilia for a Christmas gift.

The money raised will be used to take children from the Helen and Douglas Home, which provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults, to sporting events.

Sportslink organiser, Nigel Hunt said: "We've been able to do this for some time thanks to the generosity of a number of major sports teams. What the auction will now enable us to do is to widen the scope and scale of this activity and organise travel and hospitality at each event at our own cost.

"We're extremely grateful to those individuals and organisations who have generously donated items for the December auction," continued Nigel. "However, in order to run the auction on a regular basis we need more people and organisations to donate signed sporting memorabilia."

Crescent Suzuki has agreed to support Sportslink wherever possible providing memorabilia and opportunities that are not usually available to members of the public but would be of great interest to motorcycling fans.
