January 4 2008.L+M Events has been appointed as a recognised ACU Promoter to assist in its ongoing pursuit to bring international status off road events to the UK. L+M Events joins a select group of promoters whose applications have been accepted by the ACU Board of Directors in more recent times.   Co-founders Martin Lampkin and Jake Miller, hence the L+M title, were responsible for bringing the FIM Trial World Championship back to the British mainland after an extended absence, and delivered three highly successful editions to fulfil their contractual obligations both with the World motorcycling governing body and the ACU. This fact sets them alone, with no other off road promoter having achieved a similar feat in running a series of World outdoor events during the last decade.  With no World trial planned for 2008, L+M Events is currently busy exploring several possibilities that may result in them delivering a variety of events both at international and domestic level over the next few years.  Whilst the return of the FIM Trial World Championship to the UK mainland once again remains on the agenda (subject to finding a suitable new venue), L+M Events is also looking to diversify into other off road sectors to add to its already proven portfolio. The addition of full ACU recognition will be a major benefit, as Lampkin and Miller continue with their negotiations to receive support from authorities that sit outside of the motorcycling sector.
