Suspension giant Öhlins has expanded its product line-up to include a new range of cost-conscious fork and rear shock kits designed to appeal to riders of naked bikes as well as those who want all the quality associated with the brand, but at a more competitive price. Model ranges catered for include Ducati Monsters, Kawasaki ER-6n/f and Versys, Suzuki Bandits, SV and V-Strom, plus the extensive Yamaha Fazer family.

The Swedish firm's suspension is the first choice for racers the world over in every paddock from MotoGP to domestic club races. Now Öhlins has recognised the need to provide road riders with affordable suspension upgrade kits without compromising on the quality Öhlins has built its formidable reputation upon.

With kits starting at just £93.73 + VAT for a set of Öhlins fork springs, even machines with non-adjustable suspension will benefit tremendously from the use of quality springs tailored to the rider's individual weight when fitted through one of the ten Öhlins Centres located throughout the UK. For those bikes that already come with adjustable suspension, Öhlins has drawn on its considerable race experience to create a range of kits that will allow the forks to operate with greater efficiency and control, again dramatically improving on the bike's original equipment.

Riders who carry pillions frequently, or those who want to further explore the sporting potential of their bike, Öhlins has a range of replacement shock absorbers at competitive prices. All offer a range of adjustability and of course come with the famous yellow spring that has become seen as a symbol of quality. With rear shocks priced at just £410.91 + VAT, the transformation in feel and ride more than justifies the price.

Chris Witter, Business Development Manager, Öhlins Racing UK commented; "Öhlins has already established itself as the premium brand when it comes to race success, now we have taken this knowledge and expertise to create suspension products that deliver outstanding performance with a price tag to suit road riders. We don't believe in compromising on quality and firmly believe that this new range will deliver all the benefits that customers would expect from an Öhlins product."

More information on the new range of products can be found at or at Harris Performance Products' stand (Hall 4, G200) at the Carole Nash  Motorcycle Live show at Birmingham NEC from November 27 to December 5. ( Visit )

Yamaha UK will be displaying a bike fitted with the shock on its stand (Hall 3, R230) at the Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham. The shock will be available to purchase from any of the UK's Ohlins centres.
