March 8 2011.

Nine new Husqvarna dealers have now been appointed, thanks to a combination of an impressive line up of new models for 2011, global racing success and with supportive marketing and promotions.

The nine recently appointed dealers are Dennis Irvine Superbikes of Aberdeen and Jim Allan Motorcycles of Falkirk; A & D Motorcycles, North Wales; Adrenalin ATV, Nuneaton; Azcari in Dorking, Surrey; Lind Motorrad, Norwich; Speedaway for the West Midlands; South Lakes Off Road, Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancashire and Transit Motorcycles, York.

Husqvarna UK general manager, Massimo Granata said: "We are pleased with the response from dealers to the new sales and marketing support operation in the UK. Experienced and enthusiastic dealers, with a commitment to the Husqvarna brand and its growth within the UK market, have been quick to sign-up with us. This shows positive support for our plans for the expansion of Husqvarna in the UK.

"We are supporting dealers with effective consumer promotions, including the current Husqvarna 'Make It Yours' offer where any customer purchasing a 4-stroke enduro model, or the MX TC449, before 31 March 2011 will automatically receive £600 to spend on genuine Husqvarna parts, accessories or clothing. The customer can choose how they spend the £600 (including VAT) and ultimately how they personalise their new bike."

Dealer support is at the top of Husqvarna's agenda and effective consumer promotions will feature throughout the year.

Husqvarna is also increasing its support for the UK off-road racing scene, as the main sponsor of the Husqvarna ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship 2011, a ten-round, five-weekend series. The championship delivers exciting racing for the competitors and day-long spectator enjoyment.

The new BSMA GT Cup, in its first year, also benefits from Husqvarna support. A new Husqvarna CR65 is first prize for the winner of the 50cc Auto class. The race events take place on some of the UK's best tracks on the last weekend of each month, from March to August. The GT Cup will be won by the highest point scorer in the series, which could be a rider from any youth group.
