Norman Hyde has introduced a range of accessories for the current Triumph Bonneville range derived from his own development Bonneville Street Scrambler. Hyde, who is celebrating 30 years in business this year, premiered his Bonneville-SS at the NEC Show in 2004, several months ahead of the factory version. He is making components from the kit available in response to demand from customers in the UK and abroad who wish to customise their bikes.
Fitting Western style bars immediately gives the British twin the appearance of US export models of the Sixties and Seventies, as well as creating a more upright and relaxed riding position for the rider. The shape of these replicates the legendary Western Bars of Triumph history and they are 6" wider than the standard bars giving improved control at low speed. Hyde Western Bars are hand polished & chromed to a high standard and retail for £37.60 inc. VAT.
These high and wide bars require longer clutch and throttle cables as well as the front brake hose and a pack containing all of these can be supplied for £112.80 inc. VAT. All are top quality items, designed specifically to for the Western Bars on the Bonneville.
The alloy skid plate adds a nice finishing touch and will protect the underside of the engine and frame whether on or off road. It is simple to fit and is supplied with all mountings, making it compatible with the Hinckley-built Hinckley Bonneville, Thruxton, America and Speedmaster. Price is £65.80 inc. VAT.
