Kawasaki Heavy Industries looks likely to return to profit on its motorcycle operation for the first time in four years according to latest results, with operating profit in the motorcycle and engine division forecast to generate an operating profit of 5 billion yen.

Various cost cutting efforts and  lower material prices have driven the return to profit.

Sales are forecast to climb 11% to 260 billion yen in the current year, with American sales expected to rise along with sales in Brazil and Asia.
