Trials taster sessions will run throughout the 2011 International Dirt Bike Show.

The International Dirt Bike Show organisation is moving up a gear now, with major manufacturers on board and a host of riders and personalities from a variety of disciplines scheduled to drop into the Show at Stoneleigh Park in November.

Ever conscious of the need to keep the whole dirt-biking family entertained, the Show organisers are cranking up the free-of-charge activities and action. The emphasis is on allowing visitors to have fun in between inspecting and analysing the new 2012 off-road machinery, accessories and clothing, or indeed making that must-have purchase.

In the Try a Bike Zone, BUMPY (Birstall Urban Motorcycle Project for Youth) will be running its trials training taster sessions throughout the duration of the Show, where adults of 16 years and over can try their hand at a spot of trials riding on 125cc GasGas machinery. The 15-minute sessions will provide one-on-one tuition and, following this, participants will have the opportunity to try out their new skills on a manageable but testing course. All riding equipment will be provided and the only condition is for some previous riding experience.

For the youngsters, quad riding has always been well received, and this time there'll be no need for riders and their parents to worry about the weather, as the fully-supervised kids' quad riding section will be completely under cover. Four-minute sessions will run every day for children aged six and over.

The main stage in hall one is the place to find fun and games, with hard-core X-Box play-offs and plenty of popular competitions. As well as championship presentations and technical fashion shows, this is where champions of the past, present and future will be grilled by TV commentator Jack Burnicle.

Of course, many visitors to the show aim to pick up a bargain or two, and this year the choice will be wider than ever. There's a new dimension added to the event for those looking for a good deal, as well as for those wishing to clear some garage space. Over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of November, a fully enclosed and covered 'Evoshock' Moto Jumble, with free entry for show visitors will take place. The area will be linked to the halls, and pitch costs have been kept low to make it ultra-attractive. Anyone interested in taking a pitch can do so by calling the Show office on 0844 800 6481.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the exhibition halls, for those in a competitive mood a Fast Eddy adult sprint enduro is planned for the weekend. This new adult event will be held on the 4x4 track in the woods, just a short walk away from the halls, and Paul Edmondson and his Fast Eddy team are working on the final arrangements now. Full details will be announced on the Show website at www.dirtbikeshow.co.uk
