RHL Activities Ltd., the promoter and organiser of the Weston Beach Race, is smack on course to deliver one of the highest profile events ever held at the North Somerset resort over the weekend of October 21st and 22nd this year.
Stefan Everts, multi world MX champion and the only non-British rider ever to win Weston, has agreed to return and will be making his last planned competitive race in Europe. Negotiations are also well advanced for Travis Pastrana and several other high profile Americans to take part, including Supercross legend Jeremy McGrath. On the four wheel front the H Bomb squad, that put on an awesome freestyle quad display last year is lined up for a return, and it is hoped that the full 360 degree flip will feature in this year's routine.
Gareth Hockey and Phil Roberts, the men behind the RHL Activities Ltd., have a rolling contract with North Somerset council until 2011, and plans are already in hand for a major celebration in 2007 when the Beach Race celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Entries for this year's event are being handled directly by RHL and riders should contact secretary of the meeting Gary Ford on 07966 367456 to secure an entry form.
