A NEW BEGINNING FOR BRITISH YOUTH MOTOCROSS
November 4 2011.

RHL Activities Ltd and the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) have announced a new British Youth Nationals motocross series for 2012.

Over the past 20 years RHL has organised some of the biggest off-road events in the UK, including a number of British Grand Prix races and the famous RHL Beach Race at Weston-Super-Mare.

RHL believes the championship needs to return its focus to nurturing UK talent into future champions and although the format  will remain largely the same as the BYMX series which it replaces, there will be an additional class for 50cc Auto riders.

"This will be one of our biggest challenges ever," said Gareth Hockey of RHL. "It is something we are very passionate about and it will lead us to create future British world champions and develop the sport in a positive and proactive manner. With the current financial climate here in the UK, we are conscious of costs, so the aim is to keep people racing and build a solid platform over the next five years."

Every rider who signs up for the championship will be automatically enrolled into the RHL Academy, with access to a range of professional training and advice.
