KTM has enlisted the services of brackenbury pr & media to assist with PR activities in the UK with immediate effect.

Historically, KTM has handled its PR activities internally but has taken the recent step to outsource part of this function in the UK, along with its counterparts in Germany and Italy.

The focus of brackenbury will mainly be directed on the road bike activities of KTM; an area of the Austrian manufacturer's business that has grown significantly since the release of the 950 Adventure in 2003 and, more
recently, with the arrival of the 125 Duke - the biggest selling machine of its category in Europe.

brackenbury pr & media is owned and managed by Luke Brackenbury, a former motorcycle journalist who has worked with some of the industry's biggest brands across PR, marketing and events roles. Working closely with KTM UK's Marketing Co-ordinator, Ross Walker, Luke, 30, will share his time between KTM's Brackley base and his
Peterborough offices.

KTM UK Managing Director, Shaun Sisterson, commented on the appointment: "Luke brings a wealth of experience both from PR, marketing and event management, but also from a long career working within the specialist media. We also know he has a 'soft spot' for KTM, having attended press launches and raced in the Super Duke and 660 Cup.

"KTM, as a global concern, is growing all the time and Luke will be responsible for helping push the on-road side of the business in all aspects of PR, from working closer with the media, creating UK-specific events and social media platforms, along with consulting with our dealer network to leverage their individual activities."

Luke Brackenbury said: "With a bold and uncompromised approach to creating bikes, KTM has to be the most exciting motorcycle manufacturer out there now and I am incredibly happy to help play a part of their ongoing success story."
